Talk to a GP in complete privacy from the comfort of your home or wherever you are in the world.
Fast access to a virtual GP can provide peace of mind. Unlike appointments at many surgeries, you’re not limited to a 10-minute time slot, and you can call the Saga GP Service as often as needed.
If you have a general health query, you can use our digital GP service to send a message to a doctor, including an image. The doctor will respond to your email address the next working day.
If appropriate, any private prescriptions offered via the Saga GP Service can be delivered to your door, so you don’t have to leave the house if you’re unwell.
Over 1,100 topics from a comprehensive medically validated UK database.
Speak face-to-face with a GP via your webcam or smartphone. Virtual GP appointments are available:
8am-10pm Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm Saturday and 8am-6pm Sunday.
Go online to request your GP appointment, and we’ll email you with the next available slot within four hours (or sooner).
If you need further tests or advice, your GP or our Saga GP Service can openly refer you to a private specialist.
Locate hospitals, clinics and pharmacies local to wherever you are in the world.
All the doctors you’ll speak to are experienced GPs. They are GMC registered, licensed, on the NHS Performers List and GP Register, and have full Medical Council of Ireland registration, qualifying them as ‘fit to practise’.
A virtual GP appointment is almost identical to an in-person appointment. During the appointment, you discuss the same things as you would during a regular face-to-face check-up with a fully qualified GP. The key difference is that it takes place over the phone or online.
There are many benefits to online GP appointments, including:
You can book your online GP appointment by telephone – call 0330 018 1618. Alternatively, you can book instantly online via the Saga website.
To attend an online GP appointment with the Saga GP Service, you’ll need:
If you choose a telephone appointment, you’ll need a phone – it can either be a mobile phone or a landline.
If you can’t participate in an online video consultation or are uncomfortable with it, you can send a message to a doctor. Feel free to include any relevant images. Our doctors will respond by the next working day.
There's plenty to explore and learn about our health insurance cover.
